Castro is 'NOT' DEAD…He has disappeared – Father

It has been about three months since the mysterious disappearance of hip-life artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, aka Castro, and his lady friend, Janet Bandu, at Ada in the Greater Accra Region.
Castro’s father, John Eshun, who had kept quiet over the issue all the while, finally broke his silence on the matter.
Mr Eshun, in his first public interview, said Castro was just missing but not dead.
Castro and Janet Bandu got missing during a jet-ski ride at Aqua Safari, a beach resort at Ada, in June this year.

The musician had visited the beach resort with his friend Asamoah Gyan, the Black Stars captain, for recreation.

After the two got missing, a search party, comprising personnel of the marine police and some local fishermen, was set up to look for them but the search did not yield any dividend.
To date, no one knows the whereabouts of Castro and Janet, prompting some Ghanaians to suggest that the two were dead.

However, speaking on SKY POWER FM in Takoradi, Castro’s father said he believed his son was not dead.
According to him, his son had been kidnapped either physically or spiritually, adding, “My son is not dead but has disappeared.”

“This is the first time I am speaking to the public on this issue and I am speaking with deep emotions. I have never stood anywhere to say that my son is dead,” he indicated.
He stressed that what he realised when he visited Ada on that fateful day was that his “son had only disappeared.”

John Eshun pointed out that investigations he conducted indicated that his son was wearing a life jacket, adding that as a mariner himself, he knew that a life jacket, even if it had expired, should enable his son’s lifeless body to float.

He debunked assertions by public interest lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, that close relatives of Asamoah Gyan wanted to bribe the family of Castro to apparently keep mute on the matter.
He described the assertion as outrageous, baseless and senseless, stressing that the issue was bigger than the family, since the whole country could not come to terms with the mysterious disappearance of his son.

He revealed that Asamoah Gyan and his family had been visiting and cooperating with his family on the quiet and therefore “I’d not believe what the lawyer was saying.”
However, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw said the father was being mischievous, as he had been calling on him to assist him find his son, adding that he was shocked Mr Eshun described the assertion as outrageous.
