I Would Soon Be A Prophet ...God has been Calling me - Guru

Popular hip-life artist Guru has stated he would soon be a prophet of God but as to whether he would combine his music career and the spiritual calling, it is yet to be known.

According to the artist, he has had a number of spiritual encounters but he has failed to heed to the calling anytime the strange voice speaks to him.

He told the press in Kumasi that, maybe it is time he paid a humble heart towards the voice that has been communicating with him for some time now.

The Lapas Toyota hit-maker made the disclosure over the weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium when he donated exercise books branded with his images to kids including those from deprived homes.

He pointed out, ‘I see and hear so many calls from a strange voice speaking to me a number of times entreating me to come out but I have not paid ears to it. Most at times I feel scared to come out to tell the world what the voice instructs me to say. It is time I blow everything the voice echoes through me because whatever I am told by the voice always comes to pass’.

The ‘Kasei bo’ collaborator went on to disclose that his hit song ‘mede me nsa awo Obonsam ani’ and Mpaebo all leads credence to his calling. He underscored that nobody could choke the eyes of the Devil except individuals who are blessed by God could do that.

The award-winning artist further urged fellow members in the arts fraternity to show compassion towards the need in society. He noted the drive to give to the poor in society must be a concern to everyone adding, it does no matter the size of the gift.

Hip-life and highlife artists turning a new leave in Christ has become a common ritual in Ghana in recent times with Evangelist Lord Kenya and Pastor Ofori Amponsah being the reining artists in minds of the public.
