Ranging from gospel and hip hop to hiplife, highlife and reggae, the 12 wannabe acts all seemed determined to clinch the GH¢100,000 available at the end of the contest.
The contestants are R Tay, Leety, Mina, Mac-M, Snow B, Torgbe, Papa, Naba, Sam B, Anji, Fameye and Ink (duo).
“Some of them were highly impressive but I realised others are yet to warm themselves into the show. We have a few more weeks ahead and we cannot wait to see all of them throw their best at us,” said judge Bessa Simons.
The other two judges, Ofie Kodjoe and Hammer of the Last Two, were also appreciative of the talents displayed during the first performances and are looking forward to more intense stuff from the ambitious contestants.
The MTN Hit-Maker airs on Saturdays on TV3, eTV, GH One and 4Syte TV from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. The programme is repeated on Sundays on Metro TV and Multi TV’s Cine Afrik channel from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
